From Distraction to Devotion.

Look, let’s get real for a second.

We all get the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s the ultimate equalizer. Whether you’re a CEO, a student, a parent, or just a professional procrastinator (we’ve all been there!), our clocks tick the same way.


‘Time’ isn't just a commodity; it’s a profound gift from God.


What does the ultimate instruction manual—the Bible—say about this precious gift? It reminds us that time is incredibly fleeting.

In James 4:14, says, "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away."

A vapor. Think about that! Time is like steam rising off a hot cup of coffee—here one moment, gone the next. That truth isn't meant to terrify us, it’s meant to mobilize us.


It’s time to retire the excuses. You have to stop blaming circumstances, technology, or other people for wasting our time. Why? Because you are the only one who can truly change it.


As a Christian, the best part is that the power God is already in you. Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us..."

That power is at work within us.

Listen friend, you have so much potential! Offer your time to God & I assure you that He will make the best out of it!


Ephesians 5:15–17:

"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is."


The phrase "redeeming your time" isn't about running the race of life faster; it’s about buying back what the enemy tries to steal through distraction, fear, procrastination.


Here are your seven ways to steward your time well and to move from distraction to devotion:

• Be Careful About Your Time and Choices: You wouldn't throw a diamond into the trash, would you? Treat your hours the same way. Every choice—what you click on, who you talk to, where you sit—matters.

• Be a Purposeful Person: Stop letting life happen to you. Ask yourself, "What am I trying to accomplish right now?" and let the answer dictate your actions.

• Live a Life That Is Worth Living: Your life is a precious, non-renewable gift. Don't waste it on things that won't matter in ten minutes, ten months, or ten years. Make it count.

• Really Think About Your Choices & Make Wise Decisions: Take a breath before you agree to something. Ask yourself: Is this decision leading you closer to God's purpose or further away?

• Don’t Let Any Opportunities Pass You By: This isn't about being busy; it's about being alert. Be ready for the God-given chances to serve, to speak, and to step out in faith.

• Don’t Be Vague, Thoughtless, and Foolish: Vague goals get vague results. Be clear, mindful, and intentional. Know what you’re pursuing!

• Know the Will of God and Take Hold of It: Ultimately, devotion is about doing what He wants. Seek His purpose in prayer and commit your time to it.


Look at Jesus! He only had 33 years, but every moment was perfectly aligned with His Father's will. He changed the course of human history, fulfilling His purpose completely. That is the ultimate example of time redeemed.


Time to Reflect

Before you click away (and immediately open a new distracting tab!), I want you to take a moment and honestly consider these two questions:

~ Are you going to leave a legacy after you die? A legacy of character, faith, and love, built moment by moment?

~ Will you be happy looking at your life at 90 years old, and say, "My life was good. I used my time well"?

Start taking action today. Let’s stop letting our time turn into vapor. Let's redeem our time together!
